I worked as an intern and assistant designer for a Wicker Park non-profit organization called Around the Coyote. ATC hosts two very popular festivals every year to showcase the works of local artists. In 2006, the head designer and myself were challenged to create a more contemporary feel for the Fall Festival, and move away from the festival's "folksy" image. I think we did just that, and the festival was a great success. I designed a whole slew of promotional items and info graphics for festival attendees, and reveled in the benefits and/or drawbacks of a beer sponsorship.
