Asterisk is the official student magazine of IADT, Chicago. I was challenged to redesign the magazine's layout, which included developing a new grid system and logo. Since an asterisk is often used to denote an omission, I decided that an absence of logo would be appropriate—hence the die cut cover. I think this redesign gives the magazine a literary appeal and encourages the idea that IADT's student base is sophisticated and tasteful.
