My brother was recently diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a very mild form of Autism. His diagnosis coincided with my taking a psychology course at school. Being in the class was a great opportunity for me to learn more about the disorder and create an illustration based on my studies. My goal was to graphically depict the symptoms associated with Autistic disorders without the use of text. The bulk of the work was done on bristol board with acrylic paint. I then scanned and tweaked the work digitally.
